Practise the Italian Game

The Italian Game (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4) is one of the oldest and most natural openings in chess. Play White's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 — and the trainer plays Black's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 177 named lines that continue it, such as Italian Game: Giuoco Piano, Italian Game: Two Knights Defense, Italian Game: Classical Variation, Italian Game: Two Knights Defense, Modern Bishop's Opening, Four Knights Game: Italian Variation, Italian Game: Anti-Fried Liver Defense, Italian Game: Two Knights Defense, Knight Attack, Italian Game: Giuoco Pianissimo, Normal.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Italian Game page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
