Practise the Italian Game: Hungarian Defense

The Hungarian Defense is 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Be7, a quiet answer to the Italian Game. Play Black's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Be7 — and the trainer plays White's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 2 named lines that continue it, such as Scotch Game: Benima Defense, Italian Game: Hungarian Defense, Tartakower Variation.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Italian Game: Hungarian Defense page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
