Practise the Italian Game: Two Knights Defense, Modern Bishop's Opening

The Modern Bishop's Opening (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.d3), also called the Closed Variation of the Two Knights Defense, is White's most common answer to 3...Nf6. Play White's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. d3 — and the trainer plays Black's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 2 named lines that continue it, such as Italian Game: Giuoco Pianissimo, Normal.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Italian Game: Two Knights Defense, Modern Bishop's Opening page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
