Practise the King's Knight Opening

The King's Knight Opening is 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3, White's most popular second move after 1.e4 e5. Play White's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 — and the trainer plays Black's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 299 named lines that continue it, such as King's Knight Opening: Normal Variation, Italian Game, Ruy Lopez, Philidor Defense, Scotch Game, Italian Game: Giuoco Piano, Petrov's Defense, Italian Game: Two Knights Defense.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the King's Knight Opening page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
