The Nimzowitsch Defense (1.e4 Nc6) is named after Aron Nimzowitsch. Play Black's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 Nc6 — and the trainer plays White's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 43 named lines that continue it, such as Nimzowitsch Defense: Declined Variation, Nimzowitsch Defense: Kennedy Variation, Nimzowitsch Defense: Kennedy Variation, Linksspringer Variation, Nimzowitsch Defense: Scandinavian Variation, Nimzowitsch Defense: Scandinavian Variation, Advance Variation, Nimzowitsch Defense: Scandinavian Variation, Exchange Variation, Nimzowitsch Defense: Williams Variation, Nimzowitsch Defense: Franco-Nimzowitsch Variation.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Nimzowitsch Defense page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
