The Tarrasch Defense is a variation of the Queen's Gambit Declined characterised by 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 c5, an aggressive bid for central space. Play Black's moves of the line from memory — 1. d4 d5 2. c4 e6 3. Nc3 c5 4. cxd5 exd5 — and the trainer plays White's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.
