Practise the Scandinavian Defense

The Scandinavian Defense (1.e4 d5), also called the Centre Counter, is the most direct reply to 1.e4. Play Black's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 d5 — and the trainer plays White's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 47 named lines that continue it, such as Scandinavian Defense: Mieses-Kotroc Variation, Scandinavian Defense: Modern Variation, Scandinavian Defense: Main Line, Scandinavian Defense: Valencian Variation, Zukertort Opening: Tennison Gambit, Scandinavian Defense: Blackburne-Kloosterboer Gambit, Scandinavian Defense: Gubinsky-Melts Defense, Scandinavian Defense: Marshall Variation.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Scandinavian Defense page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
