The Gubinsky-Melts Defense is 1.e4 d5 2.exd5 Qxd5 3.Nc3 Qd6, a line of the Scandinavian Defense in which the queen retreats to d6. Play Black's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 d5 2. exd5 Qxd5 3. Nc3 Qd6 — and the trainer plays White's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 3 named lines that continue it, such as Scandinavian Defense: Bronstein Variation, Scandinavian Defense: Schiller-Pytel Variation, Scandinavian Defense: Schiller-Pytel Variation, Modern Variation.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Scandinavian Defense: Gubinsky-Melts Defense page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
