Practise the Sicilian Defense: Closed

The Closed Sicilian (1.e4 c5 2.Nc3) is White's second most common answer to the Sicilian Defense, after 2.Nf3. Play White's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 c5 2. Nc3 — and the trainer plays Black's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 21 named lines that continue it, such as Sicilian Defense: Closed, Traditional, Sicilian Defense: Grand Prix Attack, Sicilian Defense: Closed, Fianchetto Variation, Sicilian Defense: Closed, Chameleon Variation, Sicilian Defense: Closed, Korchnoi Defense, Sicilian Defense: Closed, Carlsen Variation, Sicilian Defense: Grand Prix Attack, Schofman Variation, Sicilian Defense: Closed, Botvinnik Defense, with Nge2.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Sicilian Defense: Closed page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
