Practise the Sicilian Defense: McDonnell Attack

The McDonnell Attack (1.e4 c5 2.f4) is the immediate form of the Grand Prix Attack against the Sicilian Defense. Play White's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 c5 2. f4 — and the trainer plays Black's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 4 named lines that continue it, such as King's Gambit Declined: Mafia Defense, Sicilian Defense: McDonnell Attack, Tal Gambit, Bird Opening: Dutch Variation, Batavo Gambit, Sicilian Defense: McDonnell Attack, Toilet Variation.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Sicilian Defense: McDonnell Attack page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
