Practise the Trompowsky Attack

The Trompowsky Attack (1.d4 Nf6 2.Bg5) is a direct way to sidestep the huge theory of the Indian defences. Play White's moves of the line from memory — 1. d4 Nf6 2. Bg5 — and the trainer plays Black's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 9 named lines that continue it, such as Trompowsky Attack: Classical Defense, Trompowsky Attack: Classical Defense, Big Center Variation, Trompowsky Attack: Edge Variation, Trompowsky Attack: Raptor Variation, Trompowsky Attack: Borg Variation, Trompowsky Attack: Poisoned Pawn Variation, Trompowsky Attack: Raptor Variation, Hergert Gambit, Trompowsky Attack: Edge Variation, Hergert Gambit.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Trompowsky Attack page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
