Practise the Indian Defense

The Indian Defense, or Indian Game, is 1.d4 Nf6, the starting point of a large family of openings. Play Black's moves of the line from memory — 1. d4 Nf6 — and the trainer plays White's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 299 named lines that continue it, such as Indian Defense: Normal Variation, Indian Defense: Knights Variation, Indian Defense: West Indian Defense, Indian Defense: Accelerated London System, King's Indian Defense, Queen's Gambit Declined: Three Knights Variation, King's Indian Defense: Normal Variation, East Indian Defense.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Indian Defense page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
