Practise the Old Indian Defense

The Old Indian Defense (1.d4 d6 2.c4) usually continues with ...Nf6, reaching the standard Old Indian position 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 d6. Play White's moves of the line from memory — 1. d4 d6 2. c4 — and the trainer plays Black's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 3 named lines that continue it, such as Rat Defense: English Rat, Rat Defense: English Rat, Lisbon Gambit, Rat Defense: English Rat, Pounds Gambit.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Old Indian Defense page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
