Practise the Petrov's Defense

Petrov's Defense (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nf6), also called the Russian Game, is a symmetrical counterattack. Play Black's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 — and the trainer plays White's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 53 named lines that continue it, such as Petrov's Defense: Three Knights Game, Petrov's Defense: Italian Variation, Petrov's Defense: Stafford Gambit, Petrov's Defense: Modern Attack, Petrov's Defense: Classical Attack, Petrov's Defense: Damiano Variation, Petrov's Defense: Nimzowitsch Attack, Petrov's Defense: Cozio Attack.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Petrov's Defense page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
