Practise the Scotch Game: Haxo Gambit

The Haxo Gambit is 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 exd4 4.Bc4 Bc5, the line of the Scotch Gambit in which Black defends the pawn on d4 with the bishop instead of attacking e4 with 4...Nf6. Play Black's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd4 4. Bc4 Bc5 — and the trainer plays White's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 5 named lines that continue it, such as Scotch Game: Scotch Gambit, Sarratt Variation, Scotch Game: Scotch Gambit, Cochrane-Anderssen Variation, Scotch Game: Vitzthum Attack, Scotch Game: Cochrane-Shumov Defense, Italian Game: Two Knights Defense, Max Lange Attack, Loman Defense.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Scotch Game: Haxo Gambit page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
