Practise the Three Knights Opening

The Three Knights Opening (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Nc3) brings out a third knight. Play White's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 — and the trainer plays Black's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 46 named lines that continue it, such as Four Knights Game, Four Knights Game: Spanish Variation, Four Knights Game: Scotch Variation, Four Knights Game: Scotch Variation Accepted, Four Knights Game: Spanish Variation, Classical Variation, Four Knights Game: Spanish Variation, Double Spanish, Four Knights Game: Gunsberg Variation, Four Knights Game: Halloween Gambit.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Three Knights Opening page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
