Practise the Latvian Gambit

The Latvian Gambit, also called the Greco Countergambit, is 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 f5: Black answers the attack on e5 by attacking White's e-pawn with the f-pawn. Play Black's moves of the line from memory — 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 f5 — and the trainer plays White's replies; "Play the other side" turns it around.

"Drill all" adds the 24 named lines that continue it, such as Latvian Gambit Accepted, Latvian Gambit: Mlotkowski Variation, Latvian Gambit Accepted: Main Line, Latvian Gambit: Mason Countergambit, Latvian Gambit: Mayet Attack, Latvian Gambit Accepted: Bilguer Variation, Latvian Gambit: Fraser Defense, Latvian Gambit: Mayet Attack, Morgado Defense.

Read about the line, its statistics on Lichess and Stockfish's evaluation on the Latvian Gambit page, or pick another opening in the opening trainer.
